This morning the wife added something new to the rice which was Tarako (鱈子). Tarako looks like Mentaiko but missing the spices which make Mentaiko taste so good. So Tarako would just be salted roe, usually made from Alaska Pollock. The wife told me it’s common to have in spaghetti and onigiri. Maybe I will try it in Onigiri later today for a quick snack.
