Since he gets his nap at daycare, he comes home with lot of energy. This is unlike his parents who have been working all day. Yesterday he was not that Genki (Genki is a Japanese word meaning enthusiastic, energetic, lively) and he fell asleep right away, so we knew something might be wrong.

So the wife made pumpkin soup and Okayu (お粥) for him to take. Let me guess you are wondering what Okayu is. Okayu is the Japanese version of the Chinese congee. It’s given to sick people as its soft and easy to digest. I personal am not a huge fan of it, but when I am sick it’s not bad.

Since he did not have a high temperature and finished his breakfast, I took him to daycare. They will call me if things change and I will just pick him up.
