I know everyone has been waiting for my photos, and I am sorry, but it’s been one crazy week around here. It started off on Saturday, I and the wife went out looking for an AC unit. We left the little one with the Mother-in-law. Somehow the little one managed to fall off the balcony trying to play in the dirt. He only fell about a foot, but he fell on to the concrete block we have as steps. He got a small cut over his eyebrow, and a few lumps on the head, but all and all was fine. So this was the first trip to the hospital.

Not much happened on Sunday other than chilling out, I and the little one when to the park in the morning and the wife cleaned the house. In the afternoon we all got our haircut, I really needed one.

Since Monday was a holiday over here in Japan, I think it is called “Ocean Day”, not sure why and I am not going to look. (If you really want to know why, google it) We all went out for a walk and have to admit it was hot, around 32 degrees. We all had hats and lots of water with us so that was ok. The little one go tired on the way home, so I carried him, which was all good. Later that night his temperature was raised and staying around 38 degrees, I looked like he had a FEVER. Since we are new parents we got worried, thought he might be heat exhaustion or heat stroke, so off to the hospital. Being a holiday we had a long wait. The doctor checked him over and confirmed he just had a fever and not heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Since he was drinking and eating the doctor just told us to monitor him, which we did. Needless to say I did not get a lot of sleep that night.

He still had his fever on Tuesday, so we decided to keep him home. We played, and chilled out for most of the day. By the afternoon his fever was going down, and by the evening it was almost gone.

We decided that since he was Happy/Genki as they say in Japan he would go to day care. So Tomoko made a bento for him as well as hers. As I was getting the little one dressed for daycare, I noticed he was still scratching, at first I thought they were mosquito bites as he get them all the time, but when I looked more closely at them it seem more like welts. So we spend the morning at the doctors, as well as getting new glasses for me as the night before he broke the old ones. Doctors told us that the welts were part of the fever he had the days before. It affects the mouth, arms and legs, arms and legs are just itchy whereas the mouth is painful, which explained why the little guy was cry a lot over the few days.

All and all everything I did not get much done over those few days. So it’s been a very busy day today.
